Set on a beautiful south-facing slope with the South Downs as a backdrop. One of our favourite and most local vineyards, we stock Court Garden’s award-winning sparkling wine and their exquisite still wines.
Still and sparkling wines are served by the glass, or sold by the bottle and stocked as standard.
Court Garden Classic Cuvée
This is Court Garden’s classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes. It has a pale silver lime-leaf green appearance, with continuous small bubbles. It is toasty, with under-ripe pineapple and greengage fruit behind; brut-style, balanced with creamy mousse and great freshness, and a long finish. This wine is brilliant as an aperitif on its own or wonderful paired with seafood.
Court Garden Blanc de Blancs
The International Wine Challenge judges described Court Garden’s 2011 Blanc de Blancs as “Gentle and elegant style. Sliced green apples and gala melon. Fine boned with persistent chalky length”. The perfect welcome drink; good on its own or accompanied by canapés.
Court Garden Ditchling White
Chardonnay, Pinot Gris & Ortega. This delightful white wine has been fermented in French oak barrels adding a delicate vanilla note. The addition of Ortega to the medium-dry wine gives a wonderful aroma, apples, pears and lemon zest. The palate leads with green apples, peaches and yellow grapefruit. There is a classic stone minerality on the finish.
Court Garden Ditchling Rosé
Made from Rondo grapes for rich berry fruits and Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, aged in French oak barrels to add smooth structure and body. There are aromas of Citrus, Mulberry, blackcurrants and strawberries coupled with delicious summer fruit freshness on the palate. Enjoy on its own or with grilled shellfish, salade niçoise, paella, rustic pâtés and terrines, charcuterie and sheep’s cheese.
